FAQ
Plain answers to the questions buyers actually ask.
If yours isn't here, drop us a note — happy to add it.
Agni Consulting is a senior marketing-operations team for B2B SaaS and fintech, remote-first across seven cities. We audit, fix and run HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua and Salesforce and the connectors between them. Most engagements start with the GTM Systems Audit: about three weeks, read-only, from USD 1,500, credited against the fix. Then a Rescue Sprint (USD 14,500 fixed) or a Custom Build, and Embedded Ops from USD 6,500 a month. The answers below cover pricing, scope, and how engagements actually work.
How is a fractional CMO different from hiring a full-time CMO or an agency?
Our fractional CMO work is Embedded Ops: senior operators working inside your team, as part of it, from USD 6,500 a month. A full-time CMO is a six-figure salary before equity and benefits, plus a long search and ramp. An agency executes tactics but doesn't own outcomes. Embedded Ops starts from the findings of a GTM Systems Audit, so there is no 90-day ramp spent working out what is broken, and it brings the whole bench behind it: engineering, marketing ops, performance marketing, sales and revenue leadership, and data and reporting.
What's the minimum engagement length?
The GTM Systems Audit is about three weeks and ends. A Rescue Sprint is six weeks, fixed scope. A Custom Build is four to eight weeks, fixed once scoped. Embedded Ops has a three-month minimum, then runs month to month with 30 days' notice either way. Nothing is open-ended by design.
What's included in the engagement?
Every engagement runs on one ladder: Audit, then a Rescue Sprint, Custom Build or Embedded Ops, then Embedded Ops if you want the system run for you. The GTM Systems Audit (about three weeks, read-only) examines the automation platform, the CRM, the connectors and the reporting as one system and ends with findings and a scope memo. The Rescue Sprint (six weeks, USD 14,500 fixed) fixes one named deadlock end to end; a Custom Build (four to eight weeks, fixed price from the scope memo) builds what the platform does not offer. Embedded Ops (from USD 6,500 a month) is standing senior hours inside your team for the backlog, lifecycle changes, reporting and enablement. Deliverables are written into each rung before it starts.
What's NOT included?
Ad spend (you pay platforms directly). Paid tooling licenses (HubSpot, Marketo, Outreach, etc. — we work in your seat). Design and front-end work is handled within the engagement or scoped separately. Sales team management. Anything outside marketing ops, demand gen, lifecycle, or RevOps.
Do you replace our existing marketing team or work with them?
Work with them. We embed alongside your in-house team — typically reporting to the CEO or VP Marketing — to amplify what they already do well. Most clients keep their team intact; we add senior operator capacity where it's missing.
How does pricing work?
Most engagements start with the GTM Systems Audit — from USD 1,500 up to 100k records (USD 2,500 up to 500k), about three weeks, read-only, and credited in full against a Rescue Sprint, Custom Build or Embedded Ops started within 30 days of the readout. After that: a Rescue Sprint (six weeks, fixed scope, USD 14,500), a Custom Build (four to eight weeks, fixed price quoted from the audit's scope memo), or Embedded Ops (from USD 6,500 a month, three-month minimum). All USD, all on the pricing page, CAD quoted on the call.
What geography do you cover?
We are a remote-first team across seven cities in North America, Europe and India, working with clients across Canada, the US and Europe. Client data is stored, processed and retained in North America. Work is handed across time zones as a matter of course, while sessions are scheduled in your working hours.
Can we exit early?
The fixed-scope rungs are fixed: the audit, a Rescue Sprint and a Custom Build each have a written scope, a price and an end date, so there is nothing to exit from. Embedded Ops has a three-month minimum, then rolls monthly with 30 days' written notice either way. No 'locked-in 12-month contract' theater — and the quarterly review is where we tell you if you no longer need the hours.
Who owns the deliverables and IP?
You do. Everything we build — playbooks, dashboards, workflows, content, lists, automation — is yours. We retain rights to anonymize and aggregate learnings for our own writing, but never your brand, data, or clients.
What ROI should we expect?
Results are specific to each engagement, not an average we'd promise you — what you get depends on the engagement model and your starting state. The case studies show the real numbers and say plainly how each was measured — see /case-studies/.
How fast can we start?
Audits usually start within two weeks of the scoping call; as soon as a read-only user exists on each system, the work begins. Sprints and builds are scheduled from the audit's readout. We don't do month-long 'onboarding' phases.
Who actually does the work?
Agni Consulting is a senior marketing-ops team, remote-first across seven cities: forward-deployed engineers, marketing-ops and CRM architects, performance marketing specialists, sales and revenue leaders, and data and reporting specialists, called in by the discipline the problem needs. Every engagement runs as one accountable thread under a named project manager who scopes it and stays on it end-to-end. No layered bench of juniors learning on your dime, no account managers between you and the work.
